From Fr. Kitsmiller

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The account of Jesus’ Transfiguration from Luke’s Gospel gives another reason for our Lenten practice. We want to be on the mountain top with our Lord at Easter and the end of our lives. The three apostles are privileged to see a glimpse of Jesus’ glory. The appearances of Moses and Elijah point to Jesus fulfilling their prophecies and Old Testament roles. We sometimes are given glimpses of Jesus’ glory in our own life: a prayer-full experience, possibly at a retreat, the witness of the birth of a son or daughter, the beauty of creation and most especially, Jesus – present in the Eucharist. We glimpse him at the Mass. We always need to ask the Lord to open our eyes to this wonderful mystery so that we can truly respond in awe and praise of Him, hidden under the form of bread.

Have a blessed week!
