From Fr. Kitsmiller

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We have returned to our regular weekend Mass schedule: 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. I want to express my appreciation for your cooperation in changing last weekend’s schedule so that we could use our parking lot for a fund raiser during the Columbus Italian Festival. This annual fund raiser raised over $7,900.00 for the parish. I want to express my appreciation to all in the parish who are participated by staffing the parking lot, directing cars and collecting money. This was a generous use of your time. I want to express my thanks to Maurice Madry for heading up the venture and being there to direct the operations all weekend. I want to especially thank Rita Ward, Donna Bowers and Jim Merckling, as well for their help the whole weekend. I want to express my appreciation to St. Mary Syro-Malabar mission who sent several volunteers to help with the parking. As you know, they also worship at our church on Sunday evening. Again, I appreciation all of you for supporting our parish with your time, talent and treasure.

As we continue in the month of October, a month dedicated to issues effecting the sanctity of human life and a month dedicated to praying the Rosary, let us pray the Rosary this week for the protection of lives of our elderly brothers and sisters, especially those close to death. Let us pray that their lives be respected and their sufferings and difficulties not seen as worthless. God loves us all from the womb to the tomb. Let us pray that we all do the same.

God Bless you all!
