From Fr. Kitsmiller

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The Columbus Italian Festival begins next weekend and brings with it a change in our normal Mass schedule. There will not be a 4:00 p.m. Vigil Mass on Saturday, October 7th. Also, our usual 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, October 8th is being moved to 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. Both changes allow us to use the Sacred Heart lots for parking for the Italian Festival. The fees that we charge for parking during the Festival is a major fund raiser for our parish. I want to thank, in advance, those of you who have volunteered to work the parking lot during the Festival. Thank you for your support of our parish. I hope you are able to attend some of the Festival, as well. The times and dates for the Festival are: October 6th, 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., October 7th, Noon to 11:00 p.m., and October 8th, Noon to 7:00 p.m.

Also, I point out to you the baptismal font that has just been redone by Todd Brausch, the same artist who did the repainting on our altars. We have completed it just in time for a Baptism this week. The restored font has been in the parish for several decades and has been the vessel in which many of our parishioners have been given the new life of Christ in the Sacrament of Baptism.

Have a blessed week.
