From Fr. Lonzo

My brothers and sisters, Recently over the past month, we encountered a few issues with our boiler and heating system here at the church. These repairs have been attended to; however, it is something that is not necessarily seen, but certainly needed and was not inexpensive. The boiler’s blower, water holding tanks and a gas line repair between the church and rectory were all part of this project and was around $5,000.00. As you know, any time you do a repair or an improvement to your homes it usually costs a great deal of money. So too, with repairs to our parish church. I share this information with you so that we don’t lose sight of the fact that we have to continue to make improvements to our parish and that so often these can be costly and unseen. At this time we are fortunate to be in a fairly stable financial position as a parish. I am currently beginning to work on a brief historical summary of our parish finances and with the help of the finance committee, to work on a presentation to the parish to share information, as well as upcoming projects that we can plan to achieve. Thank you for your continued generosity! HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
