From Fr. Lonzo's Desk

My brothers and sisters,

Although not a holy day of obligation this year, on Monday, August 15th, we celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This great Feast reminds us, once again, of Mary’s central role in salvation history and the great devotion, which we as a Church, have to Mary. As we celebrate Mary’s Assumption, body and soul, into heaven we are ever reminded of how she is model of faith for us on our earthly journey, is a constant help to us as she intercedes to her beloved Son Jesus to help strengthen us with His grace as we look forward to our true home in heaven.

Have a great week!
