From Fr. Lonzo's Desk

My brothers and sisters,

As we continue our celebration of Easter today we are reminded in a special way of Jesus’ Divine Mercy. The Second Sunday of Easter was celebrated as Divine Mercy Sunday by the late Pope St. John Paul II. Today, especially as we celebrate this Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy, instituted by our current Holy Father, Pope Francis, we are reminded of God’s great love and mercy which He has revealed to us in the person of His beloved Son, and above all in His glorious resurrection. I invite you to meditate on God’s great mercy and love that He shows us. I also invite you to join us in celebrating the devotions which accompany this Feast of Divine Mercy which will be celebrated this afternoon at Sacred Heart, the first parish in the Diocese of Columbus to begin this devotion under the former pastor Fr. Bill Deville. We welcome Fr. Deville back to Sacred Heart this Sunday to celebrate this great devotion of Divine Mercy. Have a great Week!
